Many people of my generation grew up with values like “If you can do party, you can also work hard”. As a young adult it took me a while to learn “Those who work hard deserve to celebrate”.
Now as a startup I enjoy the next level of this development. I’m definitively not working less and the pressure of being productive and successful is even higher.
However, the work I am doing now is much more embedded/in line with my personality, as my work fits into my values. This gives me much more freedom.
Last week I went up to Uetliberg with my mountain bike and a large set of documents (too many pages, too heavy!). But, I was extremely productive! Work hard, follow your direction and have fun at work. Try it out and let me know if you experience the same…
